HISTORY

Silver Plait is the result of Christian Malcolmsen
searching for musicians or a band after having moved to Trondheim and
Jens Haugan looking for potential musicians to play his songs
in a band constellation instead of dealing with his solo composing/recording projects.
They soon found out that they had much in common,
both from a philosophical point of view and their way of
approaching music and playing in a band.

Jens played the drums in the band Oscillating Fan
for some months in 2006 and wasn't really happy about the musical development.
When Jens met Christian to form a band
the bass player Tor Erik Øyhus from Oscillating Fan joined in too.
Together these three formed the band Silver Plait in autumn 2006.
Early in 2007 Tor Erik Øyhus was replaced by the bass player
Nicolai Isaak Stubbrud who had played with
Jens in the band Trollmenn some years earlier.
