Info and comments on a musical background (the short version):
Christian Malcolmsen started playing the guitar at the tender age
of 9, but according to his own words "not seriously before I was
11-12. I received some classical training to start with, but eventually
switched to rock and blues. From an early point on and onwards I decided
never to be dictated musically." Malcolmsen has since been a member
of different bands, the most significant being Blue Galaxy, Strange
Brew and (solo project) ChriMal Vision, plus "some others not really
worth mentioning or not even making it beyond the formative stage. Apart
from my solo project, Chrimal Vision, this project/band (Silver Plait)
is the most inspiring and promising thing I have been involved with
for a long time."
